A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) Spokesperson said:
“Firefighters were called to reports of a house on fire at Dunraven Park Belfast early on Saturday morning.
“Two Fire Appliances from Knock Fire Station, 1 Fire Appliance from Central Fire station and 1 Fire Appliance from Whitla Fire Station attended the incident.
“Firefighters wearing Breathing Apparatus, extinguished the fire using 2 hose reel jets.
“Firefighters rescued a 4 year old child from the house and was transferred into the care of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service.
“The cause of the fire is believed to have been accidental and the incident was dealt with by 07:48am.”
