Procurement
The letting and management of contracts for goods and services is carried out by Procurement and Logistics Service (PaLS) on behalf of NIFRS.
Contracts are arranged to optimise value for money for goods and services, to ensure integrity, and to minimise resources used in the contracting process.
PaLS are required to comply with the Public Contract Regulations 2015 for contracts over a designated monetary threshold. PaLS is also committed to the NI Public Procurement Policy (2002), and implements the Procurement Guidance Notes (PGNs) developed by the Procurement Policy Unit in Department of Finance, Construction Procurement Delivery (CPD).
Contract opportunities
All of our contract opportunities over £5,000 are advertised on the eTendersNI web portal. For opportunities between £5,000 and £30,000, companies will be required to submit quotations for business. For opportunities over £30,000 companies will be required to take part in a formal tender process.
Terms and conditions
The Standard Terms and Conditions of Contract applies to all purchase orders sent by NIFRS.
