On behalf of everyone at The Fire Fighters Charity and the hundreds of thousands of people we exist to support, I am delighted to enclose a thoroughly deserved Certificate of Appreciation to NIFRS who raised £65,334.98 for the Charity during 2022/23.
This is awarded to Services who have given incredible support, and whose staff and volunteers have worked so hard to fundraise for us throughout 2022/23, this Certificate is a small token of our enormous gratitude for all you have done and continue to do for us.
We fully appreciate how much of a challenge it has been over the last year. None of us have found the rising cost of living easy- personally or professionally- and here at the Charity we are all too aware how this has impacted fundraising, as purse strings are tightened for everyone. Regardless though, I am aware how hard you and your colleagues worked to do whatever you could in support of us; personally, on stations and within your local communities.
Here at the Charity, we continued to see an incredible increase in demand for our Services and support as the number of those turning to us increased from a 2019 figure of around 4,000 people, to over 10,000 in 2022/23. Raising the income we need to sustain levels of support for this number of people is the challenge that we now face, but I know that with your continued support we will be able to do so. I therefore look forward to working with you, your teams and people over the coming year to explore further ways in which we can make a positive difference to your health and wellbeing, as well as to how we can work together to increase the amount of money we raise.
Thank you once again for everything you and your service have done for us, it really is hugely appreciated.
Stay safe and well.
Yours sincerely,
