13 April 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n One of the most important things you can do to keep your household safe from fire is to install smoke alarms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Smoke alarms detect smoke at the earliest stages of a fire, giving you vital extra time to escape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is why it is so important that you have smoke alarms on every level of your home, and that you test them weekly to make sure they are working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Remember – Test it Tuesday!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Follow our smoke alarm advice:<\/p>\n\n\n\n For people who would not be able to hear a conventional alarm, there are special devices available which make use of a vibrating pad or flashing light instead of the audible signal.
