1 November 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n During Halloween, Thursday 31 October 2019, Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) received 77 emergency calls and attended 51 incidents across Northern Ireland. This is the lowest number of incidents on Halloween night since 2013.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Group Commander, Gerry Lennon,<\/strong> said:<\/strong> \u201cLast night NIFRS responded to calls associated with Halloween night celebrations, and I am pleased that it was the lowest number of incidents on Halloween night since 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBetween 6pm, 31 October and 1am, 1 November, NIFRS Regional Control Centre received 77 emergency calls and Fire Crews responded to 51 operational incidents. This equates to a 60% decrease for the same period 2018. 10 of these incidents were bonfire related.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cCrews withdrew from 3 separate incidents for safety reasons as they encountered crowds of youths throwing stones, bottles and fireworks.
