Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) is committed to the fundamental principles of Safeguarding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Safeguarding is the term used to describe all of the measures NIFRS takes as an organisation to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of individuals, especially children and adults at risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As an organisation, we recognise our responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of the community that we serve by ensuring that our training, policies and procedures, and reporting mechanisms are robust and fully support effective Safeguarding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We believe that everyone has a fundamental right to be safe. Safeguarding is \u2018everyone\u2019s business\u2019 and we should all strive to prevent harm to children and adults at risk from abuse, exploitation, and neglect. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
