NIFRS responded to a report of a fire at a detached house at Ardkill Road in the Ardmore area of Londonderry. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hosereel jet to extinguish the blaze. Crews ventilated the smoke from the premises. A 53-year-old man received oxygen therapy from FRS for mild smoke inhalation. He was assessed by ambulance personnel at the scene. Smoke alarms was operating on arrival of FRS. Fire crews from Crescent Link station attended the incident.
