At 2.11am 27 September 2018 a call was received to a block of flats in Beresford Court Coleraine.  2 Appliances from Coleraine, 1 from Portstewart, 1 from Portrush, an Aerial Platform from Cresent Link Fire Station and a Command Support Unit and Appliance from Kilrea Fire Station attended the incident along with the Fire Emergency Support Service provided by the Red Cross.  Firefighters dealt with a fire in a second floor flat of a 3 storey block of flats. 12 residents were led to safety by Firefighters. The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate. Over 30 Firefighters were involved in attending the incident and prevented the fire  from spreading.  The Red Cross Fire Emergency Support Service was in attendance to offer support and help to residents. The incident was dealt with at 4.58am.
