Condolences Following Fatal House Fire, Omagh

 A Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) Spokesperson said:

“The thoughts and sympathies of Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) are with the family and friends of a man who died following a house fire last Friday night (16 November 2018) in the Omagh area.

“NIFRS received a call at 8.59pm to a detached bungalow on Botera Upper Road, Omagh Co. Tyrone.

“Two Fire Appliances from Omagh Fire Station, one Fire Appliance from Fintona Fire Station and one Fire Appliance from Dromore Fire Station attended the incident.

“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and carried out a search. Sadly a 77 year old man was confirmed dead at the scene.

“The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and will be subject to investigation, in liaison with the PSNI.

“The incident was dealt with at 11.09pm (16 November 2018).”
