Volunteering
IN LIGHT OF THE CURRENT CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) SITUATION THE VOLUNTEERING PROGRAMME HAS BEEN TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING AT THIS UNPRECEDENTED TIME.
Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service involves volunteers through a number of opportunities:
- Community Volunteers
- Cadet Leaders
Community Volunteers
Our Community Volunteers support community based fire safety education operating across the associated Council areas to help NIFRS reduce the number of accidental house fires and therefore help reduce fire deaths and injuries.
Volunteers provide fire safety advice at community initiatives such as community events, or distribute fire safety leaflets in their local communities, complementing the work of our Firefighters.
NIFRS volunteers are welcome from all backgrounds and walks of life to support NIFRS in its work to keep people safe from the dangers of fire.
If you would like to make a difference to your community, meet new people, develop new skills and have an enjoyable experience, contact the Volunteer Coordinator , Julie Rea – julie.rea@nifrs.org
