NIFRS achieve Gold Award in Northern Ireland Quality Awards

NIFRS achieve Gold Award in Northern Ireland Quality Awards Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) has achieved a Gold Award in the Steps to Excellence Process as part of the Northern Ireland Quality Awards. Celebrating their success, staff from across the organisation received their award at a Gala Ceremony held on Thursday 28 January 2010 in the Ramada Hotel Belfast. Organised by the Centre for Competitiveness, Northern Ireland Quality Awards is the premier business event in Northern Ireland which recognises organisations that have demonstrated excellence in their overall business performance. Colin Lammey, Chief Fire Officer, Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service said – “This is a great achievement for the organisation to have been awarded the Gold Award. Everyone in NIFRS works hard to deliver the best possible fire and rescue service for the people of Northern Ireland and this award is a true reflection of the pride, enthusiasm and commitment shown by each and every member of staff.
