Fire Safety

Introduction

Northern Ireland, in terms of risk of death from fire, is one of the safest places to live.  Over 98% of people already have a smoke alarm in their home, but do they work?  If the smoke alarm activated, would you know how to escape or what to do?

These pages give you advice on how to prevent a fire and how to protect yourself should one occur. Almost all fires in the home can be prevented. Below are some Fire Safety Tips which could prevent a fire from starting in your home.
