Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service regularly publishes documents for consultation.  This is your fire and rescue service and your views matter.  We welcome all comments from interested parties to help shape the future of Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service.

Special Service Incident Survey
 
 
You will have received a copy of this survey if NIFRS attended a special service incident (e.g. chemical release, flood, animal rescue, rescue or release of persons) at your premises.  To complete the questionnaire online, please click on the link below.
 
You will be required to provide the unique 3-digit reference number on your questionnaire and the first line of your address to assist NIFRS with the validation of responses.
 
 



Voluntary Transfer Policy for Personnel in the role of Wholetime Firefighter/Firefighter Control

The aim of the revised Voluntary Transfer Policy for Personnel in the role of Wholetime Firefighter/Firefighter (Control) Version 3.0 is to provide a mechanism for which eligible staff can apply for a substantive transfer of station/watch on a voluntary basis.  The opportunity to apply for a substantive voluntary transfer shall be advertised by Establishment Instruction on an annual basis.
 
We are keen to obtain the views of our stakeholders in relation to this revised policy.  Also, as part of our statutory equality obligations under Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998, we are particularly interested in identifying equality impacts arising from this revised policy.

Fire and Rescue Service Training Centre (FRSTC) Crewing Framework Policy

The aim of the Fire and Rescue Service Training Centre (FRSTC) Crewing Framework Policy is to ensure that establishment and supervisory command at FRSTC is maintained at all times thereby facilitating the effective and efficient delivery of training for the organisation.
 
This Crewing Framework has been piloted at the Training Centre with crewing operating on a two watch system.

The aim of the revised Temporary Promotions Agreement Policy Version 3.0 is to support NIFRS Occupational Health, Safety, Welfare and Establishment Department (OHSW&EST) in ensuring business continuity through assuring that Service delivery is maintained by Wholetime Personnel.  This revised Policy will be used to fill Short-term Vacancies for Operational/Departmental/Regional Control Centre roles from Crew Commander/Crew Commander (Control) to Area Commander/Group Commander (Control).
