Two workers suffered slight smoke inhalation after a fire occurred in a packaging plant in Aghanloo Industrial Estate, Limavady. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hosereel jet and a main jet to extinguish the blaze and then ventilated the building. Four others were also given oxygen at the scene to counteract the effects of having breathed in fumes. Ambulance crews also treated the casualties at the scene. |

Two teenage girls were rescued after they had become stranded on top of a wall beside the Lecky Road in the Brandywell area of Londonderry. The two girls, aged 12 and 15 were brought to safety by firefighters using a short extension ladder. |

A sounding smoke alarm alerted a neighbour to a fire in a semi-detached house in Wellington Drive, Bangor. Firefighters rescued a 26 year old man from the ground floor of the house and used a hosereel jet to deal with the fire in the back living room. A man and a woman aged in their 40s were led from a terrace house in Lincoln Square in the Lower Falls area of Belfast after a fire occurred in the kitchen of the property. An ambulance was requested to attend as the pair suffered smoke inhalation. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hosereel jet to deal with the fire. Actuating smoke alarms had alerted the occupiers to the danger. |

FATAL INCIDENT NIFRS resources attended a road traffic collision on the Belfast Road near Kilwaughter outside Larne and assisted PSNI with lighting etc. at the incident. Two vehicles were involved and there was 6 walking wounded but sadly a man in his mid 20s lost his life. |

Crews responded to a report of a petrol bomb attack at a terrace house in Benvarden Avenue in the Waterside area of Londonderry. A fire in the ground floor living room of the property was extinguished by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus using two jets. A man aged in his 40s was rescued prior to the arrival of NIFRS resources and suffered burns to his hands, face and head and also smoke inhalation. He was treated at the scene by NIFRS FPOS and then taken to hospital by ambulance. PSNI are investigating the attack. |

A 23 year old woman was treated by paramedics and ambulance personnel after being freed from her car which had overturned on the Moneyhaw Road outside Moneymore. She was taken to Antrim Area hospital suffering from head, neck, leg and back injuries. |
