Location: LARNE - FACTORY
Details:  
Extra resources including an aerial appliance were required to deal with a fire at the Caterpillar factory on the Old Glenarm Road in Larne. Work was being carried out on a high rise area of the building and scaffolding planks had went on fire. The aerial appliance was utilised to extinguish the fire and personnel used working-at-height kit to ensure their safety during the incident.

Location: CASTLEDERG - WATER INCIDENT - FATALITY
Details:  
FATAL INCIDENT
Local crews and Specialist Rescue Teams liaised with members of the Foyle Water Rescue team to search for a missing person in the Derg River near Castlederg. A woman was pulled from the water and CPR was carried out by teams until she was taken to hospital. Sadly it was confirmed later by PSNI that the woman was a fatality.

Location: LISBURN - BUNGALOW - RESCUE / CASUALTY
Details:  
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus led a 63 year old woman to safety after a fire broke out in the kitchen of a detached bungalow in Benson Street in Lisburn. She suffered slight smoke inhalation and shock and was taken to Lagan Valley hospital by ambulance. A hosereel jet was used to deal with the fire.

Location: COALISLAND - SHED AND OIL TANK - CASUALTY
Details:  
Firefighters were called to a shed on fire at The Brambles in Coalisland and found an oil tank was also involved in the blaze. A hosereel jet and a foam jet were used to deal with the fire. Crews also treated a man aged in his 40s for smoke inhalation .

Location: NEWRY - BUNGALOW - CASUALTY
Details:  
A 45 year old man suffered burns to his face, arms, neck and back after a fire occurred in the living room of a chalet bungalow in Rockfield Heights, Newry. The man was self-rescued from the property in sheltered accommodation and was subsequently taken to Daisy Hill Hospital for treatment. It appeared that he had been trying to light an open fire which had went out of control.

Location: GLENAVY - RTC - CASUALTIES / RESCUE
Details:  
A woman in her mid 40s suffered leg injuries in a three vehicle collision on the main Moira Road outside Glenavy. Firefighters used cutting gear to release the woman and she was taken to hospital.

Location: PORTADOWN - RTC - CASUALTIES / RESCUES
Details:  
A car which left the road and went down an embankment off the Armagh Road outside Portadown had to be stabilised before firefighters were able to rescue two people from the vehicle. Cutting gear was used to free the two women who were handed over to a waiting ambulance. They suffered neck andback injuries in the incident and were taken to hospital.

Location: MAGHERALIN - FACTORY - GAS LEAK
Details:  
Firefighters wore special gas tight suits to deal with a gas leak in a factory at Magheralin in County Armagh. A number of chemicals had started to vent gas in a laboratory and a hosereel jet and a covering jet were used with ventilation to dissipate the gas. Three workers had to attend hospital for check-ups.

Location: FOUR WINDS, BELFAST - SEMI-DETACHED HOUSE - CASUALTY / SMOKE ALARM
Details:  
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using a hosereel jet dealt with a small fire in the kitchen of a semi-detached house in Kerrymount Avenue in the Four Winds area of East Belfast. The occupant was alerted to the danger when a smoke alarm actuated, however they had to be treated with oxygen as they had suffered slight smoke inhalation. A ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke and fumes from the building.

Location: TWINBROOK, BELFAST - TERRACE HOUSE - SMOKE ALARM
Details:  
Occupants of a terrace house in Thornhill Crescent in the Twinbrook area of West Belfast were alerted to a fire involving a tumble dryer when a smoke alarm actuated late on Monday evening. Crews from the Lisburn Road and Sringfield Road stations attended and dealt with the incident which was confined to electric wiring.
