Location: LURGAN - IMPALEMENT - RESCUE
Details:  
Firefighters had to use hydraulic cutting gear to release a 20 year old male who had become impaled on railings in Windsor Avenue. Following his release he was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment to a leg injury.

Location: BANBRIDGE - DERELICT FACTORY
Details:  
Two firefighters underwent a decontamination process as a precautionary measure after a fire in a derelict factory appeared to have involved asbestos. The 10 x 6 metre building on the Lurgan Road was well alight on arrival of fire crews and two hosereel jets were used to extinguish the blaze. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.

Details:  
A 21 year old male was given oxygen treatment by firefighters after he inhaled smoke during a fire at his home in Whiterock Crescent. The fire, which had been started accidentally by a candle in the bathroom of the mid terraced house, was extinguished using a hosereel jet.

Location: LOUGH NAVAR FOREST, BELLEEK - RTC - RESCUE
Details:  
Fire & Rescue crews located a male trapped in his vehicle after it had travelled over 100 feet down a cliff face at the Lough Navar viewpoint off the Glenasheever Road. Firefighters removed the door of the car and carried the 28 year old casualty on a spinal board to a waiting ambulance. He was transferred to hospital suffering from pelvic injuries, no-one else was involved in the incident.

Location: NEWTOWNARDS - COMMERCIAL PREMISES
Details:  
An aerial appliance from Belfast was sent to support local crews in dealing with a multi-seated fire in commercial premises in Movilla Street. The mid-terraced property was well alight and firefighters used two main jets and an aerial monitor to extinguish the blaze. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.

Location: NEWTOWNARDS - RTC - RESCUE
Details:  
Fire & Rescue crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to release a 74 year old female from her car after it was in collision with another vehicle on the Portaferry Road. She sustained leg and back injuries and was taken to hosital by ambulance. A 75 year old male from the same car was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure. There were no casualties in the second vehicle.

Details:  
The male and female occupiers of a detached house in Killyman Street were treated for shock and smoke inhalation following a fire in their home. Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus used a carbon dioxide extinguisher and a hosereel jet to deal with the fire in the meter box.

Details:  
Four people including two infants had to be treated for the effects of smoke inhalation following a fire at their home on School Road. The fire, which had started in an oil burner, was extinguished using a hosereel jet. Smoke detectors had not been fitted in the property.

Location: CREGGAN, LONDONDERRY - HOUSE FIRE - CASUALTIES
Details:  
Firefighters treated a 30 year old female for the effects of inhaling smoke after fire broke out on the ground floor of a two storey dwelling in Central Drive. Two female children also suffered slight smoke inhalation during the incident. The living room and stairs of the mid-terraced property were well alight and fire crews wearing breathing apparatus used two hosereel jets to extinguish the blaze. Smoke alarms were fitted in the property and had alerted the occupants.

Location: BELFAST - RTC - RESCUE/CASUALTIES
Details:  
A male casualty suffered a broken arm and leg injuries when his car was in collision with a lorry on the Northern Road in the Duncrue area of Belfast. Rescue crews had to use heavy cutting gear to release him and he was taken to hospital along with another male from the same vehicle who also suffered lower limb injuries. The driver of the lorry suffered shock but was otherwise uninjured.
