Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service’s Training Centre will move to a new location on the Desertcreat Road in Cookstown, currently anticipated by the end of 2015. The new multi-agency academy will be the first of its kind in the UK and will be shared with the Police Service of Northern Ireland and Northern Ireland Prison Service. This will allow collaborative training across the Services as well as providing the highest standard of training facilities unique to the Fire & Rescue Service. The current Training Centre consists of 3 sites: - - Main site in Boucher Crescent:
- 7 Lecture Rooms
- 2 Syndicate Rooms
- 1 Lecture Theatre (Tiered)
- Gym
- IT Suite
- Vector Command Suite
- Onsite catering, seating up to 200
- Male & Female Showers & Locker room facilities
- Ample Car Parking
- Large Fire Ground Area
- Fire Station
- Tower
- Hot Fire Units
